Cunning Craftiness

The other day I saw something so disturbing as I did my short scroll on Facebook. It was a conference…a Christian Witches Conference. My eyes became so wide and my mouth dropped as my husband and I looked at the screen. He thought it was a joke and someone was trying to be funny. When I saw it I told him I did not think it was because people are doing all kinds of foolery these days. However, deep on the inside I hoped that he was right. I was hoping that it was a joke (a very bad joke).

It was not a joke. My heart dropped. As we dug deeper and found an actual website my stomach turned and I became nauseated and really could not look at it or think about for a moment. So many people, mostly women from all ethnic background were proud to be a Christian witch and attend this conference of like-minded folks. It all seemed so common for them. Now people who say they are Christian are going to believe they can practice witchcraft too. If we can be carried away so easily with mess are we really saved? Just asking for a friend…

Over the last several weeks I have seen many things that have vexed my spirit. So many of the things that those they say they follow Christ are doing are NOT good, and much of it is downright sin. But since such a vast amount of people are doing it it’s because common and standard.  I don’t know how many times I have to say this (I am not fussing at yall I am just arrrghhh DONE) just because it sounds good, they up on a stage, they have great followers, you see them living lavishly, they look like they happy with no worries, they dripping (the new word out there in the streets LOL), and they cute does NOT mean that what they are saying is biblical, true, right, and good for you!

We are NOT supposed to be carried about by every wind of doctrine, the trickery of men, cunning craftiness, and deceitful plotting. In no way!

As Christians we are need to be more discerning. God has placed in each of us some level of discernment even if you don’t have it as a gift. If you have received Christ into your life then you have the Holy Spirit living and dwelling on the inside leading you in truth. It is up to us whether we want to walk in the truth and freedom that Christ brings or be tied up in bondage with the ways and attitudes of this world.

Please if you feel led, pray for the people who have been led astray in thinking they are Christian witches. Pray for the souls of the people that they are bringing into their fold who don’t know any better. Pray that the blinders are taken off. Pray that they will turn from their evil ways and come into the true knowledge of our Lord and Savior. Pray that they will no longer be led by the deceitfulness of their hearts. PRAY!
