Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
As I read this Psalm my spirit immediately leaps, and I want to shout to the Lord. Before I enter into prayer, I first ask the Lord to come and invade my space, to lead the way, and to speak what He wants to my heart. Then I set the atmosphere with praise and worship to our God. Most of the time I use instrumental music and I allow the Lord’s presence to move in such way that He gives me words to the music. It is a beautiful thing. When I come into His presence with thanksgiving, praise, and worship it brings my mind into focus. I always have my journal; in my journal I have space to write the things that I am thankful for. I always try and write something different because as time goes by and I get weary, I can go back and give Him thanks for everything that I have already written down. Why? Because it is so easy when we are down to think that the Lord has not done much for us at all. Let’s be real here!
If you would like to please feel free to share music that brings you into the presence of our almighty God. Here is one of my favorites: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyXa2tdBTGc
This is my favorite go to. I just put it on repeat.
Spend 30-60 minutes just listening to worship music and being still before the Lord.
Blessings and have a wonderful day!
