It was by the grace of God

That I was able to forgive the man that molested me from the age of 3-18.
It was by the grace of God...

That I was able to forgive the man who I ran to for protection to put his tongue in my mouth.

It was by the grace of God...
That I was able to forgive another man I trusted to put his hands on me when I was younger.

Like many who have had similar experiences, when you are violated it can paralyze you in more ways than you think. I have suffered with the spirit of rejection, the orphan spirit, distrust, offense, and more. You cannot accomplish by your yourself and in your own strength what the grace of God can do alone. God’s grace is not just any ole gift, it’s a supernatural gift. When we are stuck in unforgiveness we are trying to manage our hurt in our own way. In unforgiveness we feel like we still have the upper hand in the situation. We do not. In unforgiveness we are simply held prisoner to its effects and awaiting a slow and exhausting death sentence.

Know that by the grace of God you can heal, you can forgive, you can live as a victor and not a victim, and you can start forgetting the past and pressing toward the goal of the prize of the upward call in Christ Jesus. Allow the Lord to truly take the wheel in your life so you can start the process. He will take what the enemy meant to destroy you and work it out for His glory.
