What is to come of this?

Over the last several weeks I have been pulled back (purposefully) and have been mostly quiet and seeking the Lord about all that is happening. I have had hard conversations and have received calls from those who are in pure grief about what is going on. In the midst of it all I had to find out about the passing of my grandfather. Over the course of the last several weeks I have been disgusted, I have cried, and I have been numb. I have burst into random tears at times. There were many times that I purposely sat still to process all that has been happening so that I could pause, think, FEEL, and cry. I don’t move when others demand me to move. I do my best to move and speak when God leads and that may not be on everyone else’s time clock.

What I do know is that God has clearly given me my part in all this and that is intercession, preach, and write. Even when I have seen people all over the social media put down prayer I am disheartened because I know for many of us that is our part in this whole piece. I will continue to pray. I will share as the Lord leads. I will continue to do whatever else it is that the Lord desires. With that being said, as I was praying this morning the Lord brought me to Jeremiah 9 and I almost got the wind knocked out of me when I read it.

Many have experienced grief like never before in these last few months. Much of the grief has been because there is no closure.

The Lord is saying there is more death coming, and this world will be grief-stricken to hopelessness. God is calling forth the women to interceded, to wail, to teach our daughters to wail and our neighbors to lament. That means it is going to affect everyone across the board even our children.

This is the call of God in this hour for the wailing women. In this hour the only thing that people will truly be able to boast about is knowing the Lord! Not your crushed goals, not your prophetic abilities, not your children’s grades, not your good health, and your looks…NONE OF IT!

Come forth all you who will wail and lament!

Jeremiah 9:17-24
This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies says: “Consider all this, and call for the mourners. Send for the women who mourn at funerals. 18 Quick! Begin your weeping! Let the tears flow from your eyes. 19 Hear the people of Jerusalem[d] crying in despair, ‘We are ruined! We are completely humiliated! We must leave our land, because our homes have been torn down.’” 20 Listen, you women, to the words of the LORD; open your ears to what he has to say. Teach your daughters to wail; teach one another how to lament. 21 For death has crept in through our windows and has entered our mansions. It has killed off the flower of our youth: Children no longer play in the streets, and young men no longer gather in the squares 22 This is what the LORD says: “Bodies will be scattered across the fields like clumps of manure, like bundles of grain after the harvest. No one will be left to bury them.” 23 This is what the LORD says: “Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches. 24 But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the LORD who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the LORD, have spoken!
