Let Me Help You REST!
With all that is going on in our world we can still REST! Yes, we had to cancel Colorado Springs and California but that is not going to keep us from doing what we need to do and that is leading women to a place of rest. We are resting “Virtual+” style. What does that mean? It means that you can experience the 2020 Rest Retreat by carving out the time and space in your home (tell your family is going down) or you can take yourself and maybe a few other girlfriends and book a hotel (weekend of October 23rd) to take your experience to another level.
Although we have been at home women are still NOT resting. We need to learn how to fight for our rest. We need to know that with the climate we are in today, the circumstances of our own personal lives and mess that REST IS A WEAPON!
Does the sound of “rest” make everything in you say YES? When you hear “rest” does it make you nod your head up and down without you even noticing it LOL? That is because your very soul knows what you need lady!
Jesus tells us that we will find rest for our souls when we come to Him, take His yoke upon us, and learn from Him.
Whatever hats that you wear in life, your very being craves REST and we are here to lead you to this place of stillness and trust so that you can experience more of God’s grace, peace, and freedom in your life.
There is not much else that needs to be said because REST is calling you! We look forward to spending this time together.

Session 1
No Longer a Victim [PART 1]
Workshop Presenter: Brenda F. Clark
Abuse- physical, emotional, sexual, psychological, financial, spiritual, verbal- these things hinder your future. We all have one, but the past does not have to be your future. Paul tells us that he is forgetting that which is behind him so that he could press forward to the upward call in Christ Jesus. The pain of the past can cause a devastating blow to how we view everything and everyone around us. The past can cause us to be stuck and not shine in who God created us to be. Are you ready to dig deeper? In this time, you learn to look below the surface to heal from the pain of the past and no long live life as a victim but as a victor.
Jesus & Justice
Workshop Presenter: Sparkle Robinson
How can we love our neighbor? How can we love our marginalized neighbors how Jesus loves? What can the church and we as individuals do pursue justice from a biblical perspective that flows from the gospel? If you have been seeking to get a different perspective and you want to learn tangible ways on how you can be a part of the solution and not the problem this is the workshop for you!
Growing in Rest Through Journaling
Workshop Presenter: DeLonda Adams
For many journaling is the key to their spiritual growth. Studies even show that journaling reduces stress. That is a winner already! There are many benefits to journaling. During this time, you will not only learn why journaling will help you grow deeper in Christ, but you will also get to experience some hands-on journaling activities.
I Draw the Line Here
Worship Presenter: Ebonie Mukasa
Do you have a hard time with boundaries? You know you should not have said yes but you did it anyway and now you regret it, but you do it with a gritty smile. You cannot seem to say no, and you keep filling up your schedule with things to do knowing you don’t have the time or bandwidth. This cycle must end. Everything in you is screaming to yourself, “STOP THIS MADNESS!” You can do it! Come and find out how to begin drawing the line in your life spaces so that you can make more time for REST!
Excuse Me! I Need Directions!
Workshop Presenter: Mindi Winakur
It can get strange and uncomfortable when we are lost and must ask for directions when everything fails (even GPS). It feels the same way when we do not know our Identity in Christ. Sure! We have heard about many times, but many still struggle in standing firm in their identity or even grasping a solid understanding of their position in Christ. Come learn so that know with assurance who you are can how to walk in your identity.
